Every $50+ donor receives a handmade crochet bag.

Each bag is hand-crocheted by a mother in our Caregiver Livelihood Program — many of them raising children with autism or learning disabilities. Your gift becomes her livelihood; her craft becomes your keepsake. A small, beautiful loop of dignity.

How it works. After your $50+ gift clears, we email you to confirm a style and a delivery address. Bags ship within 4–6 weeks (in-Uganda delivery) or 6–10 weeks (international). For international shipping, donors typically cover postage at cost — about $15–$25 — though we waive this for many partners. Specific colours subject to availability.

Our commitment to you

Transparency is not a phrase. It is a discipline.

01

Every gift is logged

Every donation, however small, is recorded in our register and acknowledged within 7 days.

02

Annual public accounts

Once registered as an NGO, we will publish audited annual accounts on this website — and on request beforehand.

03

Programs over overhead

Our governance structure caps administrative spending and prioritises direct programming impact.

04

You can ask us anything

Donors have the right to ask any reasonable question about how their gift is used. We will answer honestly.

“Each of you should give what you have decided in your heart to give, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver.”

— 2 Corinthians 9:7

Whether you give from a place of faith or simple human kindness, your gift is honoured here.

Common questions

Questions donors ask.

Is Great Destinies Foundation registered?

Yes. We are registered as a Community Based Organisation in Wakiso District, Uganda, and are currently transitioning to full NGO registration. Our constitution and governance structure are available here (PDF).

How will my donation be used?

Donations directly fund our six programs: mental health awareness, school outreach, caregiver empowerment, disability inclusion, counselling, and youth empowerment. Funds not earmarked are deployed where the need is greatest.

Can I donate from outside Uganda?

Yes. International donors can give via bank transfer, PayPal, or card payment. Please email info@greatdestiniesfoundation.org for the easiest method for your country.

Do you accept Mobile Money?

Yes — MTN Mobile Money and Airtel Money. Send to +256 704 537 847 with the reference GDF Donation, and please WhatsApp us a screenshot so we can acknowledge your gift.

Can I set up monthly giving?

Absolutely — and we deeply encourage it. Monthly gifts let us plan ahead with confidence. Tick the box on the donation form, or write to us directly, and we will help you set up a standing arrangement.

Are donations tax-deductible?

Tax deductibility depends on your country of residence. Once our full NGO registration is complete, we will issue formal receipts that may be used for tax purposes in Uganda. International donors should consult local tax guidance.

Can my organisation or church partner with you?

Yes — we actively welcome institutional partnerships, church and school sponsorships, corporate social responsibility programs, and grant-making foundations. Please reach out and we'll arrange a conversation.

Thank you for considering this. You are part of how a child gets seen.

If you cannot give today, you can still share our story — that costs nothing and helps everything.
